Das STAMP Festival (Festival der altonale und des Stadtteilkulturzentrums HausDrei) sucht Arbeiten junger, europäischer Künstler*innen aus den Bereichen: Visual Art, Film, Fotografie u.Ä. zum Thema LIBERTY.

Was steht hinter dem Freiheitsbegriff, was bedeutet LIBERTY in einer Zeit turbulenter Veränderungen für Europa und der Europäische Union – anhaltende Flüchtlingsströme, ein beunruhigendes Auseinanderdriften der Gemeinschaft, eine stärker werdende terroristische Bedrohung, die Auswirkungen des BREXIT und nicht zuletzt die Covid19-Pandemie. Wie sieht die Zukunft der europäischen Gemeinschaft aus und welche Bedeutung haben Demokratie und Freiheit im 21. Jahrhundert?

 

Bewerben können sich alle, die zum Stichtag 01.09.2019 nicht älter als 30 Jahre waren und in der EU leben.

Im Zeitraum 02. bis 19.09.2021 werden die ausgewählten Arbeiten auf der altonale und dem STAMP Festival in Hamburg, Deutschland präsentiert. Die Arbeiten werden als 360° Projektionen auf aufblasbare Kugeln projiziert, die im öffentlichen Raum platziert werden (siehe Foto). Die eingereichten Filme / Fotos werden durch einen Projektions-spezialisten umgerechnet, so dass sie für  360°-Projektion geeignet sind.

 

Anforderungen an die Einreichungen:

  • Filme in FullHD, max. 20 Minuten Dauer, möglichst kontrastreich und möglichst ohne schnelle Schnitte
  • Fotos in möglichst hoher Auflösung und möglichst kontrastreich
  • Auch die Einreichung eines Konzepts für einen künstlerischen Beitrag der erst noch entsteht ist möglich.

 

Wir bieten:

  • eine Gage für die ausgewählten Einreichungen von jeweils 500 €
  • Aufnahme in das LIBERTY PORTFOLIO, eine internationale Plattform, die Sichtbarkeit für 750 internationale Künstler unter 30 Jahren schafft, die auch von anderen europäischen Organisationen für professionelle Möglichkeiten (Veranstaltungen, künstlerische Residenzen und Festivals) kontaktiert werden können.
  • Sichtbarkeit durch Online- und Offline-Medien von altonale, HausDrei und STAMP sowie aller LIBERTY-Partner.

 Über das STAMP-Festival

„STAMP“, das internationale Festival der Straßenkünste steht für Kultur im öffentlichen Raum – die Stadt wird zur Bühne, Alltagsplätze werden verwandelt, Sehgewohnheiten verschoben. Das städtische Leben wird für ein Wochenende im Jahr auf den Kopf gestellt und Künstler*innen aus über 15 Nationen zeigen die ganze Faszination von Theater im öffentlichen Raum, Musik, Hip Hop und Urban Art an mehr als 5 Spielorten in Hamburg-Altona. Das STAMP-Festival ist ein Festival der altonale und des Stadtteilkulturzentrums HausDrei.

Das STAMP-Festival ist seit Jahren regelmäßig Partner verschiedener europäischer Projekte, gefördert durch Europa Creativ. Aktuell ist STAMP Partner für das EU-Projekt LIBERTY: dieses Projekt wendet sich an junge Künstler*innen unter 30 Jahre und verfolgt die Schwerpunktthemen „Processional Theater“ und „Digital Art in public spaces“. Weitere EU-Projekte sind „Arts r Public“, „Voices Art Reach“, „Journeys Art Reach“ und ganz aktuell „AAA“, ein Projekt, in dem öffentliche Toiletten in Kunsträume transformiert werden.

 

Über das Projekt LIBERTY

Die altonale und STAMP sind nach den mehrfach ausgezeichneten EU-Projekten JOURNEYS und VOICES wieder Partner des internationalen Projekts LIBERTY, das vom britischen Kulturinstitut ArtReach koordiniert wird. ArtReach aus Leicester arbeitet dabei mit elf weiteren Kunstorganisationen aus zehn europäischen Ländern zusammen, darunter neben der altonale auch mit dem Museo dei Bambini in Rom, dem Aalborg Karneval, CESIE aus Palermo oder dem Teatro National Radu Stanca Sibiu aus Rumänien.

LIBERTY richtet sich an junge Künstler*innen zwischen 18 und 30 Jahren. Bei diesem Projekt geht es um die künstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit der Zukunft der europäischen Gemeinschaft und der Bedeutung von Demokratie und Freiheit im 21. Jahrhundert. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf den Ansichten und Ideen junger Künstler*innen und des jungen Publikums.

In einer Zeit bedeutender Veränderungen für Europa und der Europäische Union – anhaltende Flüchtlingsströme, ein beunruhigendes Auseinanderdriften der Gemeinschaft, eine stärker werdende terroristische Bedrohung und die Auswirkungen des BREXIT – wollen sich die beteiligten (Festival-) Organisationen und Institutionen in ihrer Partnerschaft auf die Vision von jungen Menschen und die positiven Auswirkungen kreativer Integration durch Kunst und Kultur konzentrieren. Das LIBERTY Projekt soll dazu beitragen, ein neues Bewusstsein für Identität und Ort sowohl lokal als auch europaweit zu schaffen.

LIBERTY ist das vierte und umfangreichste ArtReach-Projekt und das gleichzeitig das größte internationale Projekt, an dem die altonale beteiligt ist. Gefördert und finanziert wird LIBERTY von Creative Europe, einem EU-Förderprogramm zur Unterstützung der europäischen Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft.

International Call:

Artistic Contributions Visual Art / Film / Photography

The STAMP festival (festival of altonale and the distric cultural centre HausDrei) islooking for works by young European artists in the areas of visual arts, film, photography and suchlike, topically dealing with LIBERTY.

What lies behind this concept of freedom? What is the meaning of LIBERTY in times of turbulent changes for Europe and the European Union – ongoing refugee streams, a disconcerting drifting apart within the European community, increasing terrorist threats, the consequences of BREXIT and last but not least the Covid pandemic. What lies ahead for the European community and what role can democracy and freedom play in the 21stcentury?

 

Applications are open for everyone no older than 30 on September 1st2019 and living in the EU.

Between September 2ndand 19th2021 the selected works will be presented at the altonale and STAMP festivals in Hamburg. In public spaces they will be shown on (oder in?) inflatable bubbles (see photo) as 360° projections. The submitted photos/films will be converted by a projection specialist in order to make them suitable for 360° projections.

 

Requirements for submissions:

  • Films must be in full HD, 20 minutes length max., preferably high-contrast, no fast cuts.
  • Photos must be in high resolution and high-contrast.
  • It is also possible to submit concepts for artistic contributions that are still in development.

 

We offer:

  • a fee of 500 € for every selected submission
  • admittance to the LIBERTY PORTFOLIO, an international platform which gives visibility to 750 international artists under the age of 30 and makes them approachable for professional offers (events, residency programmes and festivals) by other European organisations
  • visibility through media covering altonale, HausDrei and STAMP online and offline, visibility to all LIBERTY partners

 About STAMP Festival

‘STAMP’, an international festival of street arts, stands for culture in public space. The city becomes a stage, places of every day life become transformed, visual habits change. For one weekend per year city life is turned upside down, while artists from over 15 nations present the fascination of theatre in public space, music, Hip Hop and urban art at more than 5 venues in Hamburg-Altona. The STAMP festival is a festival of altonale and the distric cultural centre HausDrei.

For years the STAMP festival has been a regular partner of several European projects and is sponsored by European Creativ. At the moment STAMP is partner of the EU project LIBERTY, addressing young artists under 30. It focusses on ‘processional theatre’ and ‘digital art in public spaces’. About the LIBERTY project

After cooperating with the award winning EU projects JOURNEYS and VOICES, altonale and STAMP are once more partners of the international LIBERTY project, which is coordinated by the British cultural institute ArtReach. ArtReach, based in Leicester, cooperates with eleven cultural organisations in ten European countries, including altonale, the Muse dei Bambini in Rome, the Aalborg Karneval, CESIE in Palermo and the Teatro National Radu Stanca Sibiu in Romania.

LIBERTY addresses young artists from 18 to 30 years of age. It’s a project for artistic approaches to the future of the European Union and the importance of democracy and freedon in the 21stcentury. It focusses on the opinions and ideas of young artists and young audiences.

At a time of major changes for Europe and the European Union – ongoing refugee streams, a disconcerting drifting apart within the European community, increasing terrorist threats and the consequences of BREXIT – the (festival-) organisations and institutions want to focus on the visions of young people and the desirable consequences of creative integration by means of art and culture. Project LIBERTY wants to contribute to a new awareness of identity and place, locally als well as Europe-wide.

LIBERTY is the fourth and most extensive international project that altonale is part of. It is sponsored and financed by Creative Europe, a European support programme for European cultural and creative industries.
